On the outside this resort looks good, Bhungas with Kutch work, spacious rooms... but that is about all that can be said as good here. This place has connect with travel agencies and that is the only reason they get people to stay over. The travel agencies get booking in bulk, travellers do not read reviews before coming and these people remain in business. We stayed here for one night, there was just one another occupancy besides us. It is about 30 Kms from White Kutch where all the fun is. If you want to travel so far better stay in Bhuj rather than this desolate place. We landed around 2 pm, as is my habit I wiped the lunch plate with a tissue before using and the tissue turned up oily and yellow!!! Showed it to the staff, picked another plate - which was similarly dirty., so were the spoons..I decided to skip lunch altogether. Dinner was equally oily and non tasty affair, breakfast I bit on some pebbles and abandoned it altogether .... The bedsheet in the room looks good in pictures, but it was unclean and sleeping on embroidered sheet is uncomfortable. The resort is adjacent to a highway and there fore noise from highway disturbs you a lot. The Bathroom did not have any place to keep your soap etc while bathing(a 3 ltr geyser)!!! The resort staff were indifferent to us, they were like, just come, eat and go ! If you want a good Kutch experience - avoid this place.

Rural and rustic experience

Stayed at the Rann Village Resort for a night in order to visit the White Rann. To start with if you are expecting comfort, luxury and cleanliness then forget about it. Travel with an open mind that you are in for a rural and rustic experience. If you are particular about these things then its better to visit the Rann during the day and drive back in the evening which we did feel we would be better off doing. I would however like to highlight and offer special thanks to our driver Mr Yogesh who was assigned to us. He was cooperative and an extremely pleasant person who made our entire trip worth while. Also want to mention in my review to be careful while dealing with Mr Roy who comes across as a very pompous personality with his "I know it all" attitude.

I had a terrible experience- 1. Too far, half an hr drive from White Desert. 2. The buggha smelled of toilet, difficult to use the bathroom 3. Very average food 4. Didnt get 3 meals as promised, coz even if checking in at 8pm, they refused lunch next day. 5. Check out time of 10am. 6. Paid 7k for 1 night. Not recommended for any price above 2k.

We stayed here in the AC bhugga for one night, one couple. Pros: Nice decor with lights that look pretty in the evening Home like food Prompt service Cleaner than the regular tent affair Cons: Check the location before booking, this is 30-40 mins from the white desert The booking says includes 3 meals, but you do not have the flexibility to choose lunch on either day, remember to see that the checkout time is 10 AM. The inclusion is just all meals for the duration of your stay. Overpriced at 7k for the bhugga for me, their bedsheets and towels are pretty downgrade (not even standard white). TV was installed but not working for us. Overall, a makeshift arrangement to stay the night and checkout very early morning is how I would summarise this. Do not expect cleanliness or hospitality. We chose to not shower here looking at the cleanliness.

This place should be the last on your list of places to stay. There are a number of reasons for that. Firstly it's too far from the actual Rann. Secondly it is very expensive for the kind of facilities provided. The rooms are large and that's the end of all good things.there was a horrible smell coming from the washroom. The TV was not working and had to be activated after we reached back late in the evening. Pillows were the worst that I have seen in my life. About the food lesser said the better it is. No standard of hygiene. Infact I had to skip my breakfast as I had an upset stomach. The staff was very indifferent. The exuberance shown by mr Roy was woefully inadequate to compensate for the unconcerned attitude of the remaining staff. The place claims to have a swimming pool but actuality is very different. The pool was full of algae and other indescribable things. It was more a breading ground for mosquitoes. Overall a disappointing stay. At this price I have stayed in five star hotels, but not withstanding that it was not even tolerable.
